The EOC joined Governor Henry McMaster and SC Superintendent of Education Ellen Weaver at a ceremony declaring April as Month of the Military Child.

This month honors and celebrates military children for their service, commitment, and sacrifice - underscoring the important role they play in their communities across South Carolina.

This initiative also encourages support systems in school for military children who, on average, transfer to a new school every two to three years.
