The S.C. Oversight Committee recently held its’ first annual Be Present S.C. essay contest. Students were asked to write about what Be Present S.C. meant to them - why coming to school daily was important, what they miss when absent from school, and what they enjoy most about school.
The following students submitted the winning entries:
2nd grade winner – Thiago Cubias, Red Cedar Elementary School
3rd grade winner – Aria Grant, Lady's Island Elementary School
4th grade winner – Edie Lutz, Buist Academy
5th grade winner – Alexandra Slater, Buist Academy
